Stadium of the Future

Marina, Pier & Bulkhead

The $1.4 billion Stadium of the Future project is not just a renovation but a complete reimagination of the existing home of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars. Owned by the City, EverBank Stadium is located in Downtown Jacksonville. Based on the current plans, only the existing concrete structure would remain, and the stadium would undergo significant improvements to the seating bowl, concourses, concessions, amenities, and club areas, among other areas. A new shade canopy (roof) would be erected, and new plaza areas would be created.  Every mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low-voltage system will undergo a comprehensive evaluation and likely major overhaul and upgrade to achieve maintenance or replacement requirements, keep pace with technological advancements, and immediately elevate the stadium to one of the most fan-friendly, welcoming, and exciting venues in all of sports.

Drawing inspiration from Jacksonville’s lush landscapes, fans will enter the 71,500-seat facility through a subtropical Floridian park, leading them to the main concourse. The concourse, elevated 30 feet above the ground, will offer expansive views of Downtown Jacksonville and the St. Johns River. All concourses will be widened, football operations spaces will be enhanced, and vertical circulation will be improved.

The energy-efficient facade, with a first-of-its-kind mirrored material, reflects Jacksonville’s waterfront, vegetation, and distinct spirit. The open-air venue features a new large shade canopy that reduces heat retention by 70 percent, lowers temperatures by 10 to 15 degrees, and protects fans from the weather. The façade is raised at the northern and southern ends to optimize airflow, enabling passive cooling throughout the stadium.

IMPACT is providing all typical services of this role, including managing all aspects of the budget, cash flow, forecasting, contracting, scheduling, insurance, communication with all project partners, sustainability programs and objectives, FF&E procurement and installation, and quality assurance program as the Jaguars’ representative.
