The Turner Lynch Campus Center is the hub of Oglethorpe’s campus life. The Center provides flexible, multi-purpose spaces, including a full-service kitchen and dining hall, meeting and conference rooms, a coffee shop, a bookstore, campus life offices, a game room, and indoor and outdoor lounge/study areas.

The project’s construction involved the demolition of the existing student center, which housed the kitchen and dining hall. Critical to the successful implementation of the new Campus Center project was developing a creative solution for temporary facilities, including a temporary kitchen and food storage facilities achieved via modular units and a specialized interim dining facility.

The project also involved complex stream restoration and remediation, which involved close coordination with the Army Corps of Engineers. Innovative stormwater detention and water quality features were essential to Oglethorpe University and incorporated as an integral part of the civil design of the project.
